Annual Father/Son Backpacking Trip

***Playing Catch-Up***

Ty and Max decided that Everett was ready to go on the backpacking trip with them this year.  Ev totally would have taken exception if they had thought otherwise.  So they all packed their packs {Ev carried his PJ's, a stuffed animal, peanut butter, the crew's beanies, and a few toys.  Max had his sleeping bag and some toys.  Tyler carried just a few other essentials :)} and were off!  Destination: Bark Shanty.  Ty said that the boys both did great and Ev never complained.  It's a 2-mile hike in.  He said that every person they came across made a big deal about the boys hiking with their packs. The boys LOVED eating Cheesy Baco Spuds and building/maintaining the fire. They played hide-and-seek the whole hike out.  Max told me that Ty would try to look like a tree and said, "Mom, come on, do you REALLY think that Dad could look like a tree?!" and he showed me the silly poses Tyler did.  Ty told me his strategy was to be obvious so that it would distract Max from finding Ev...I think it worked because all Max could talk about was how ridiculous it was that Dad thought he was really hidden.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these 3 fellas.  I am so lucky they are mine.  Tyler is such a great, dedicated, fun, amazing dad!  I hope Maxwell, Everett, and Tucker realize how lucky they are to have him as their dad and learn a thing or twenty from this wonderful man of ours.
