Vegas, baby!

We had a GREAT trip to Las Vegas to see my fam.  Really, really wonderful.  I love my family a whole lot.  While we were there we swam, got frozen yogurt, went to a park, my sister and I went for a run, visited great friends at Spring Mountain Ranch, had a Girl's Night with my mom and sisters, the girl cousins had a sleepover with my parents and the next night the boy cousins had their sleepover, attended my sweet nephew's baptism with a yummy dinner afterward...and in between all of that the kids played and played and played and the adults talked and talked and talked.  The kids got along so, so well.  We love cousins!

So all of that was done on the days we were there just to hang.  Saturday was the beginning of Mann Fam Reunion 2012!  We were supposed to go to Payson Lake in Utah and camp and kayak and fish, but you may have hear about the wildfires in Utah?  There wouldn't be any camping for us.  So last-minute we made plans in Vegas.  We decided to call this the Pacific Screech Reunion.  That's the name of the street the Tippetts (my sister Adri and her fam) live on and their house was kind of home-base for our festivities.  It's kind of an unfortunate street name, but it is what it is. :)

Saturday
  • Swimming at Grammy and Papa's
  • Pizza, talent show, and glow-in-the-dark dance party
  • Volcano at The Mirage

 Sunday
  • Yummy breakfast by Papa Dan and Grammy at the Tippetts'
  • Mt. Charleston where we escaped the heat of Vegas, decorated visors, did an awesome Dad (and oldest son) Competition, had impromptu concerts/art competitions by the kids, a devotional by Haden (the oldest cousin), and a short hike that ended in rock climbing to a little cave.
  • Back to Tippetts where we watched video from previous reunions (and watched the cousins bust a gut watching themselves on video...watching THEM watch themselves was the funnest part) and the kids all crashed together in the loft.

Monday
  • Breakfast
  • Off to watch Brave where we took up an entire row (13 grandkids and 8 adults!)
  • Back to the Tippetts for lunch and then we Fosters had to hit the road for our two-day, 21 hour road trip back home

Thanks, Mann Clan, for another great visit/reunion!  We are missing you like crazy.

So fun! I showed Sean that we went to Mt Charleston too and he thought that was really cool that Max went to the same place.
