I felt like a good mom since my mom always did cool cakes. :)
Luke & Cindy Redd, Sarah & Loren Smitley, my handsome husband :)
Connie Seader and Jared, Adam and Ian Kelly
Max's "thank you" smile
The cake to be destroyed!
Not diggin' it...
our dude doesn't mind dirty, but really dislikes sticky...
so we gave him a spoon...
and the real destruction began!
Whew! That was a lot of work!
The naked baby and his mom post-blue frosting all over the clothes :)
Not party pictures...this is the cute outift Max received from Papa Dan and Grammy. Thanks again!!
(if you're wondering who he's smiling at...it's himself. He's looking in a mirror and admiring his new duds.)
All ready for Church on Mother's Day in his new get-up!

Look at the Maxter, he is so lucky what a party! He is looking quite handsome in his new attire. I can't wait to see you guys in June!!
What a fun party! You should be proud of that cake - how fun and creative! You guys do have a darn adorable little man!
the luau looks fantastic. good for you, keeping the Hawaii tradition alive. I'm thinking about doing the same thing for Mei's upcoming birthday.
That looks like it was one great 1st birthday party for the little Maxter (and fun for the adults too). I really like your idea for the cake, and it was too cute to see Max trying to tackle a dessert that was bigger than his head. :-D All birthdays should be that fun!
I love the cake! Very cute! I did a beach-themed cake for Mason's first birthday (even though it is October, not exactly beach weather then - wishful thinking, maybe) and it was so fun to make. Looks like you guys had a great celebration! He is just adorable in the pictures.
(I realized I haven't read your older posts, so I am just now doing that...)
