the sweetest sound

Yesterday I heard my babe's heartbeat for the first time. Nothing in this world like that sound. Nothing. So spiritual and reassuring. Since then I've felt a new level of connection to this little person. A connection that will only grow stronger. Love you already, sweet baby of mine.

Ah, I love that. It's so crazy to hear this little heart beating so fast and to think that there is a little human being inside of you! So awesome. Congrats! It's so reassuring too when you hear it and know that everything is going well. By the way, how far along are you? Are you still really nauseous?

Pregnancy is really a miracle. I am pulling for another boy so Max can have a little brother.. but I guess I just think the world revolves around boys. Girls are cute too, I guess.

YAY for hearing the heartbeat!!! I love that, and miss hearing it at all the appointments, but I wouldn't trade this little girl for that :) I am so excited for you!!! Love ya!!

Hearing the heartbeat for the first time really blew my mind too...I actually saw the heartbeat before I heard it, way the heck back at the 8 or 9 week mark when they did my first ultrasound (was it really that long ago? Sheesh!). Keep us posted, lady!

margaretWonderful!! Now the question one has to ask was it a girl heartbeat or a boy heartbeat? I'm rooting for a girl.......we need some balance in this family!!

Hope you are feeling well.

Dana--Yeah for the heartbeat! How fast was it? They say you can tell if it's a boy or a girl by the rapidity of the heart beating (I'm sure an old wives tale, but fun to conjecture nonetheless). I wanted to respond to your question on my blog about Ryan. I am sure you know him: he is Ryan Christensen from Vegas and he is your age (27, right?) If you do know him, I would love all the dirt you can conjure about him. Though an upstanding young gentleman who is perfectly sweet to his young wife, I have a feeling he has a bit of a wild side.:) Well, keep in touch. I've been planning to update my blog now that I am back from WA (where I visited Lake Roosevelt; if you ever get the chance--it's heaven on earth). Congrats on baby's beating heart--signs of a healthy and happy baby!

The whole thing is such an amazing miracle isn't it? There's nothing quite like hearing and seeing a tiny heartbeat and jellybean inside of you knowing that is your sweet baby. Hope you are feeling well these days.
